How we killed Hector, Gulder Ultimate Search winner – Suspect

A suspect, 49-year-old Ismaila Adeyemi, one of the suspects arrested for the murder of a former winner of Gulder Ultimate Search, Hector Jobarteh, has revealed how the dirty deal was planned.

Recall that gunmen had, on September 3, 2017, trailed 38-year-old Jobarteh to his house on Olufowora Close, New Oko-Oba, Agege, from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, and shot him dead.

Ismaila, who was paraded on Monday at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, told newsmen that one Nonso, KK and him stormed Jobarteh’s house on a robbery mission that day.

He said, “I knew KK through Nonso, whom I worked with in a filling station in Apapa some years back. I met Nonso about five months ago and I gave him the address of where I live in Sango, Ogun State. KK just came back from abroad that time.

“I did not know who the man was before the operation. On that day, we parked at a filling station around his house and a lady came to meet KK. After a while, he received a call from the lady and we saw the man (Jobarteh) drove into the close.

“We followed him, but did not know where he entered. KK approached a woman and lied to her that the man’s car hit his and he sped off. He begged her to direct us to where the man entered and she did. When we got into the building, we saw the car and met another lady on the premises.

“KK asked the lady to lead us to the man’s apartment, but she declined. It was when he pointed a gun at the woman that she complied and took KK upstairs. He called us to come upstairs, but by the time we got to a living room upstairs, he had shot the man’s father in the hand.”

Adeyemi, a native of Osogbo, Osun State said the gunshot prompted Jobarteh to come out from a room to the living room, where KK immediately gunned him down.

“I did not shoot at all, although I was holding a gun too. I quarrelled with KK for shooting them, because our plan was just to rob. He threatened to shoot me and I kept quiet. It was a pair of shoes and flowers that were in the bag we collected from him. We didn’t find money there.

“I took away only his white handset while KK went with the bag. I gave the phone to my brother, Usman, to help me sell it. He said he sold it for N7,000. I collected N5,000 and gave him N2,000,” he added.

However, the state Commissioner of Police, Edgar Imohimi, who paraded Adeyemi, said he shot the GUS winner.

Imohimi said, “I am glad to announce to you that after weeks of extensive manhunt, the principal suspect, Ismail Adeyemi, who pulled the trigger that killed the victim, has been arrested and he confessed to the crime.

“He also admitted to other various criminal activities within the state. The suspect led operatives to Sango Gasline, Ijoko, where his operational revolver pistol with nine rounds of live ammunition was recovered.”

The CP told newsmen that 19 suspected armed robbers, terrorising residents of Ogombo, Sangotedo, Elemoro, Ikota, Ajah communities, among others, had been arrested.

“Within the period under review, 11 vehicles of different brands stolen at gunpoint from Lagos State and sold at Enugu State were tracked and recovered from hoodlums. Ten suspects, who specialise in robbing victims at gunpoint and driving the vehicles to Enugu State with forged number plates, were also arrested. The police recovered six vehicles and returned them to Lagos State.”

Names of the suspects were given as Abomi James, 34; Omokaro Efe, 48; Joseph Uzuazomaro, 31; Chukwudi Onyemara, 27; Malvin Umeh, 33; Nisma Uttah, 33; Samuel Shokumbi, 34; Ahmed Waheed, 33; Agustine Uchenna, 47 and 39-year-old Udoh Benedict.

“Members of the public who are victims are hereby advised to come to the command and check the vehicles for possible identification. The vehicles are Toyota Camry with number plate, FKJ 715 ES; Toyota Camry, FGG 636 MC; Toyota Matrix, EPE 429 DJ; Mercedes Benz Formatic, KRD 68 ES; Acura MDX, EKY 534 BX; Toyota Camry and Toyota Corolla, among others,” the CP added.

Two little children have been rushed to the hospital in critical condition after a playmate accidentally shot them with a loaded gun.

The sad incident occurred at a daycare in the US state of Michigan.

Accordng to Agence France Presse, AFP, police in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn said the child managed to get a hold of a loaded gun on Wednesday inside a private home that functioned as a daycare before firing either one or two shots that struck two children — both three years old.

“I’m not going to guess on what occurred in there, but obviously there were weapons in proximity to where kids are, and that’s totally unacceptable to me,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad told reporters.

iPhone X release date, price and features

Update: Reports suggest the iPhone X likely has a 2,716mAh battery and 3GB of RAM, but ongoing production problems mean it might be hard to get hold of. All of the latest iPhone X news is below.

iPhone X is "the future of the smartphone" according to Apple, but it's going to be hard to find in stock. You'll also need to brace yourself for the iPhone X price and release date that Apple announced at its September 12 launch event. It costs more than any prior iPhone, and is shipping later than expected.

That's the only bad news, though. Apple claims the iPhone X, which is pronounced 'iPhone 10', is worth your money and the extra wait time. This is Apple's 10th anniversary iPhone, and it's making big changes for 2017.

The iPhone X wasn't the only smartphone announced by Apple CEO Tim Cook on September 12. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were unveiled too, and are already available.

That said, the iPhone X is the flagship phone you really want. It takes Apple's 10-year-old smartphone design in a bold new direction. It also leaves behind the familiar physical home button and tried-and-true fingerprint sensor.

Is it worth the extremely high iPhone X price and wait? What are the big features you need to know about? We have all you need to know about the iPhone X right here.

iPhone X release date

You'll have to wait longer for it to come out
Pre-orders begin Friday, October 27
Ships starting Friday, November 3
Supply is expected to be extremely limited
The iPhone X release date is Friday, November 3, which is a month-and-half away, and later than the usual September launch date for new iPhones.

Can't wait for the iPhone X? The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are already available.

iPhone X pre-orders start Friday, October 27. That's later than normal, too. Some of the delays are due to its new, Samsung-made OLED screens being in short supply. However, recent reports suggest that Face ID components may be causing further delays and stock shortages.

We expect iPhone X to be instantly out of stock on launch day, and it may even be hard to find going into 2018. Expect retailers to lure you to their stores with a chance of getting an iPhone X on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

For those living in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait or Qatar, iPhone X pre-orders also start on October 27, but the handset will arrive in stores a day later, on November 4.

iPhone X price

More expensive than any other iPhone
64GB iPhone X: $999, £999, and AU$1,579
256GB iPhone X: $1,149, £1,149, AU$1,829
US carriers are charging $42 a month
The iPhone X price starts at $999 / £999 / AU$1,579, which makes it the most expensive iPhone ever made. And that's for the iPhone X with 64GB of storage.

You also have to take into account the various models, storage sizes, and, in the US, the sales tax. We bought an iPhone 8 Plus with 256GB of storage and it cost over $1,000 in the end. The 64GB iPhone 8 is more prominently advertised as $699. The iPhone X is going to be another jump in price.

The 256GB iPhone X will cost $1,149, £1,149, AU$1,829. Sadly, there's no option in between, if you were hoping for a 128GB iPhone X. There just isn't one.

It's also available in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, with the 64GB iPhone X costing AED/SAR 4099 while the 256GB model is AED/SAR 4729

To put the iPhone X price into perspective, it doesn't cost much more than a 4.7-inch iPhone 8, which has a one-inch smaller screen and received a basic specs boost, wireless charging, and a similar glass design. In the US, the iPhone X costs an extra $300, but over the course of 24 months, it's is only an additional $3 each week.

US carriers like Verizon and AT&T are charging $42 a month for one year and allow you to upgrade to a new iPhone next year if you trade in your device. The Apple's iPhone Upgrade program starts at $49.91, but includes AppleCare+.

Regardless of how you're paying for it, the iPhone X is expensive.

Below you can watch our guide to teach you the key differences between the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

iPhone X design

New glass design that enables wireless charging
Bigger display, but smaller than Plus phones
Easier to hold than an iPhone Plus phone, too
Remains water-resistant and comes in only two colors
Apple managed to make the iPhone X bigger, yet smaller at the same time. It'll have a more expansive 5.8-inch edge-to-edge screen (that's the bigger part), but the size is actually smaller than a Plus-sized iPhone. It also feels lighter.

How? The iPhone X dimensions give you a shorter height of 5.65 inches (143.6 mm) and, importantly, a smaller width of 2.79 inches (70.9 mm) vs a Plus phone. It weights a lighter 6.14 ounces (174 grams), too.

The iPhone X will be easier to hold in one hand. Even if you were turned off by the Plus size, you'll still be able to upgrade to iPhone X without a problem. That's good news because the front and back of the phone are now made of glass, eschewing the usual aluminum casing. You'll want an iPhone X case.

Like last year's iPhone, the iPhone X is waterproof, or water-resistant. It has an IP 67 rating, which means the phone can be 1m (about 3.3 feet) under water for 30 minutes, according to Apple's tests.

What iPhone X colors will you be able to get on day one? Space Gray and Silver will be the only two options available. No red, gold, rose gold or that rumored blush gold colors this time around, which is disappointing.

iPhone X screen

Vibrant 5.8-inch edge-to-edge AMOLED screen
Apple's 'Super Retina Display' makes its debut
Quad HD+ display with a 2436 x 1125 resolution
Apple's new iPhone X screen is considered an all-screen display, or what it calls a 'Super Retina Display.' It's not elegantly named, but it comes with perks.

It uses a 5.8-inch OLED display, a first for an iPhone since it's used LCD displays before. Apple says it's the first OLED that's great enough to be on an iPhone.

This is also Apple's first edge-to-edge display, which means it lacks bezel at the top and is missing the home button at the bottom. It replaces them with more screen. It doesn't have curved screen sides like Samsung's phones, however.

It goes well beyond the 1080p screen ceiling Apple gave us on past phones and it'll crank the resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels, delivering a Quad HD+ picture.

The iPhone X display is built for HDR and its s

Conte lashes tight turnaround for Man City clash 3 mins ago

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte blasted Premier League schedulers over his side’s short turnaround from Champions League action before facing high-flying Manchester City in a top-of-the-table clash on Saturday.

Conte’s men put in a brilliant performance to inflict only Atletico Madrid’s second Champions League defeat on home soil in 24 games on Wednesday, when Michy Batshuayi’s 93rd-minute winner sealed a 2-1 victory.

However, the Italian lamented the advantage handed to City, who played their Champions League fixture at home to Shakhtar Donetsk 24 hours earlier on Tuesday.

“I think we are a bit penalised and in this case, it is very important to analyse, before taking these decisions, the different situations of the team,” said Conte.

“City played yesterday at home. We played tonight away and we will return to London around four o’clock (in the morning).”

City lead the Premier League from Manchester United on goal difference, with Chelsea three points back in third.

“Man City is a really strong team. They are scoring a lot of goals, they are in a good moment of form and we have to prepare well (for) this game because it is very important.

“Before taking this decision someone must analyse very well this situation.

“There is the international break (after this weekend). My surprise is for this because there is the time (to play the game later).”

Conte was far more content with Chelsea’s display as they battled back to claim a well-deserved three points despite falling behind to Antoine Griezmann’s penalty five minutes before half-time.

Former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata stretched his scoring streak to seven goals in as many games with a deft near-post header from the outstanding Eden Hazard’s cross to level on the hour-mark.

– ‘We kept our head’ –
Morata and Cesc Fabregas then passed up huge chances before Batshuayi struck the decisive blow with the last kick of the game after a patient team move tore a tiring Atletico to shreds.

“It is very difficult when Atletico Madrid score to come back, but despite this we deserved to win because we continued to play with good personality,” added Conte.

“We kept our head on the pitch. We deserved to win against a really good team like Atletico Madrid.”

Batshuayi was the unlikely hero as he came off bench just eight minutes from time to net already his fifth goal of the season despite playing second fiddle to Morata.

“To score for a striker is always important for your confidence but it is more important they understand this way to play is right,” said Conte.

“I want this type of player with great athleticism and to give me the possibility to make a change game-by-game.”

In stark contrast to Chelsea’s euphoria, defeat leaves Atletico, who have reached the Champions League final in two of the previous four seasons, struggling to make it out of Group C.

The Spaniards trail second-placed Roma by three points following their 2-1 win at Azerbaijani champions Qarabag earlier on Wednesday.

“They were better in every aspect of the game,” admitted Griezmann. “We have a lot more games to play and we have to try to win them all.

“Maybe I needed to play better too. Apart from the goal it wasn’t a good day for me. I have to learn from today and keep working.”

British Airways Hostess Sparks Outrage After Posting 'Racist Video' About Nigerian Passengers

A British Airways stewardess who is an aspiring actress has left many people in shock after taking to her Snapchat to unleash a torrent of racist rant about Nigerian passengers.

According to Dailymail, Joanne Wickenden, 23, being investigated by the airline, a member of mixed fleet cabin crew, sparked outrage after recording the racist clip in her BA uniform before flying from London Heathrow to Abuja on Friday night.

Ms Wickenden, who is believed to have been suspended, refused to comment about the video at the home she shares with her mother and father in Fareham, Hampshire. But a former school friend told MailOnline: 'I was disgusted, it's so embarrassing. She was renowned for making inappropriate jokes at school.'

British Airways said in a statement to MailOnline they said: 'We expect the utmost professionalism from our staff when they are representing British Airways. We are investigating this video.'

In the expletive-filled footage, she said: 'all Nigerians are going to be asking for f****** upgrades' - after claiming the men would need more leg room in an apparent joke about the size of their privates. During the one-minute clip the blonde female worker, who also has a profile on acting website StarNow, also revealed how she was going to deal with passengers on the six-hour flight.

The 5ft 11in air hostess says she has been single for two years as she boasted about her job on Plenty of Fish.

'I'm a flight attendant living in Crawley. I've been single for 2 years now and miss a bit of male company,' she wrote.

'I'm outgoing, like to have a laugh and enjoy socialising. I'm the sort of person where the little things mean the most. Trust is a must! If you would like to find out more then pop me a message :) xx'

Joanne who made the racist video is also an aspiring actress

A source told MailOnline that the video - which was captioned 'I can't cope with this flight' - was circulated among 'horrified' BA cabin crew who are 'very concerned'.

Miss Wickenden filmed herself saying: 'Alright, so all of yous are there getting ready for your Friday night, getting in the pre-drinks, you know, as you do.

'And I'm here, getting ready to go to work, put on a yellow life jacket, point out the exits, hand out chicken or beef, what sort of Friday night is this for me?

'The upside is I'm going to Nigeria and there's gonna be bare B**, I'm joking, I'm joking.
'All the Nigerians are gonna be there like 'gimme Coca Cola, gimme me beef, why you have no beef left? I want beef.'
'And I'm just gonna be there like, 'Sorry sir, we ran out of beef'.

'All the Nigerians are gonna be there asking for f****** upgrades because they haven't got enough leg room because their B**s are in their way. Big d**** like this swinging from side to side.'

An airline source told MailOnline: 'My friend was horrified. BA has a culture of dealing with things like this internally, she passed it to me because she was concerned that nothing was done.'

Nigeria's First Digital Bank ALAT

ALAT Is the first fully digitalized bank in nigeria which affords individuals privileged with the opportunity of owning  internet enabled devices the convinience of opening and registering a bank account within few minutes "it is that simple" , they said.
You'd only need two things to register the account, your mobile number and your bvn number, meaning if you don't have a bank account before then you cannot open this account with ALAT, sorry. Even with how sleek ALAT would appear to be if you have bank accounts with other respectable financial institutions in nigeria and you go ahead to open account with ALAT you'd feel as if you just exchanged a ferrari with a golf car, am speaking from personal experience, when i opened my first bank account it was at a zenith bank branch in benin and i was below 18 so it was a student account which at that time could only hold a maximum of 200k naira, ever since then i've opened numerous accounts in other banks, information i got from the ads i saw online about ALAT was that you could open a bank account seemlessly with your phone and not  stress yourself a bit, damn that turned out to be a big lie, i have been on the process of opening a SAVINGS bank account now for over a month, enough time for me to physically go to every bank in lagos state and open 18 savings bank accounts, also please do not be mislead by there ads as i was which only says that you need only your phone number and bvn to open a bank account, you would have to upload pictures of every document you would take to a bank to ALAT via their app which is available on the google playstore, i thought ALAT was a game changer for the banking industry untill i openned my account with them, boy was i wrong!!!.
Now lets talk a little bit about there customer care service, i've laid countless complaints via their emails, social media platforms customer care lines(their customer care line is not for free)
So i've exhausted airtime trying to call them and spend over 10 minutes on hold i usually just get pissed off and eventually end the calls,i've done this multiple times so one can imagine how much i've wasted on airtime,on social media i've laid complaints as long as this and they'll tell you that they will handle the issue, nothing gets done eventually. The point is if you open an account with ALAT today and you have a minor or major issue you want to resolve my brothers and sisters there is nobody to run to, their customer care is shit and if you are opportuned to get accross to them the odds of your issue getting resolved is two out of a hundred, and we all know that issues are bound to arise one way or the other, that is inevitable, i've learnt my lesson the hard way, ALAT would tell you that you would get your ATM card within 2 days, that took me 2 weeks, they would also tell you that to open a bank account is within 4 minutes, its taking 1 month and still counting, maybe that 4 minutes is 4 months😩, they are still verifying documents that i uploaded a month ago that was surposed to take 2 days, so guys you need to be carefull about things like this, this wasn't a very nice experience for me, i was messed up so please guys make more informed decisions.
